Curriculum objective This graduate course unit introduces students to concepts that equip them to lead and evaluate Christian worship services.
Learning outcomes At the end of this unit students will be able to:
- Analyse the theological and cultural bases of a variety of Christian worship services
- Account for the variety of approaches to Christian worship in a number of diverse Christian traditions
- Critically evaluate the merits of a range of current debates regarding Christian worship
- Categorise a range of worship resources in terms of their suitability for various pastoral purposes
- Construct and critique a range of Christian worship services

Assessment profile In this unit, the required assessment tasks will enable students to demonstrate how successfully they can:

- Evaluate a range of Christian worship services associated with diverse traditions of worship. [Outcomes 2, 4]
- Construct and justify the elements of a worship service on a theme of contemporary debate. [Outcomes 2, 3, 4, 5]
