Non-Award Study

Overview

Non-award study provides a flexible pathway to engage in theological education without committing to a full course or qualification. It allows you to enrol in individual units and begin your learning journey immediately, with the option to transition into a formal program later. Note, this is not to be confused with auditing a unit.

What is Non-Award Study?

Non-award study enables you to:

  • Enrol in individual units without being admitted into a full course or degree program
  • Access the same high-quality learning experience, including identical content, assessments and academic expectations
  • Study at your own pace and commitment level, based on your personal or professional goals

This option is ideal if you are exploring study for the first time, wish to upskill in a specific area, or are not yet ready to commit to a full qualification.

Pathway to a Formal Qualification

Non-award study can serve as a stepping stone into a recognised course or program.

If you decide to continue your studies:

  • You may apply and enrol in a formal course/program
  • Units successfully completed under non-award study can be transferred and credited towards your qualification
  • This allows you to build your degree progressively, reducing the time required once formally enrolled
